 "Love" by Ashleigh L. Epps

Is love really out there?
Is it that hard to find?
If you’re not supposed to look for love,
How is love looking for you?
It’s said that we all have soul mates,
Could that really be true?
Some people believe they’ve found their soul mate,
Whom they have been with for years,
Only to find that the once truly cherished love,
Ended in plenty of tears.
Love is supposed to be joyous,
And last for an eternity;
Sometimes you find,
Love ended in misery.
How? How? How,
Could that be?
Most people run from love,
Not scared of being happy,
Just scared of the pain,
That love is sure to bring.
We have all thought we found love,
At one point or another,
But just as fast as we thought we had,
We realized that it was oh so sad.
There are different types of people,
In this world that we live in,
Love Seekers, Love Finders,
Love Hiders, and Love Finders.
Love seekers look for love,
Their entire lives.
Love Finders get it at,
An early flight (high school sweetheart).
Love Hiders run from love,
Every chance they get.
Love Blinders lie and cheat at it.
Now ask yourself,
Which one are you?
And what is it that you want to be,
When your day is through?
