Flow Friday

Welcome to Flow Friday! Poetry lovers, kick back and enjoy the read!

---------------------------------------------------------

We use to take a knee...
Because we wanted the same rights as you,
We wanted to drink from the same water fountain as you,
To go to school like you,
To be apart of this country like you

We use to take a knee...
Because you held guns on us,
You constantly raped and beat us
Sic'd your dogs on us
The fire department used water hoses against us

Now we take a knee...
Because we can't stand you,
We don't understand you,
Don't want nothing from you,
We've had enough of you

Now we take a knee...
Because if we stand up,
We're gonna fuck you up,
Tear this bitch up
You don't want us to rise up
So shut the hell up
Before we band together and put an end to you

Now we take a knee...
Because we want peace with you,
It's the least we can do,
But it's pointless you see,
Because you'll never get it through your thick skull that the only people who has a problem with the color of my skin.... is YOU
