How long have you been published? Published since June 2016

What's the worst part about being published? Worst part of being published stems from being newly published author, having to establish fan base, & not being able to promote due to being in prison.

What's the best part about being published? Best part derives from being a published author, being able to accomplish that goal & being able to get material read.

Are you self published or did you go through a publishing company? I’m self-published.

*What are the highs, if any? The high is the published work.

*What are the lows, if any? The low derives from dealing with shady antics.

What is the name of your book(s)? Multiples

What's the hardest part about writing a book? The hardest part about writing would be creating outline & sticking to it along with knowing how to end book.

What's the easiest part about writing a book? The easiest part is the writing itself. I love the creative part.

Where can interested readers purchase their copy of your book(s)? Readers can find my book on Amazon and Barnes & Noble

Do you have any future projects in the works? *Is there a tentative release date? I do have many future projects in the works. A Vulture's Bond, Death of a Boy, & Multiples II-The Unloved One coming early 2018 at latest. Trying to drop one by end of 2017.

Do you have any social media sites that you would like to share with my readers? My social media right now is Facebook and Instagram.

Inside Of My Mind by La Kata E.K.

I’m losing control of my mental state

So death seems like my only escape

It’s morning and yet it feels so late

I just want it all to end

Constant thoughts laced with suicide

Contemplating if it’s my time to die

Daily pummeling across my very pride

I just want it all to end

Too many things going on inside of my head

Lots of voices talking, can’t hear what is said

It’s not going to stop until I am dead

I just want it all to end

No one understands the sentences I say

Confused reactions follow day after day

May God watch over me is what I do pray

I just want it all to end

Emotions clashing like battling foes

The noises grow louder as the battle explodes

Anxiety deepens as the paranoia grows

I just want it all to end

Sleep is no longer a place where I rest

It is now an enemy in my ongoing quest

The search of my sanity is being put to the test

I just want it all to end

I can no longer grasp the anchors that hold me down

They’re within my grasp yet they’re nowhere around

The peace I am seeking is somewhere abound

I just want it all to end

In today's Authors in the Spotlight, we have author Jen Selinsky!

Name: Jen Selinsky

How long have you been published? My first book, Opening the Doors, was published in 2001. But my first work I ever had published was a Back to the Future fanfic story, which was featured in the fan club newsletter in 1993.

What's the worst part about being published? The worst thing about being published is worrying about whether or not my books are “perfect” and if readers like them. But, then again, writing is so completely subjective that nothing can ever be perfect.

What's the best part about being published? The best thing about being published is the sense of accomplishment I feel when I finally finish a work. I also enjoy the fact that people can see my name attached to so many titles. It makes me feel great when some of them purchase my work.

Are you self published or did you go through a publishing company? My first 170+ books are self-published, and my six children’s books are published by Pen It! Publications. Most of those will also be made into coloring books!

*What are the highs, if any? The highs include people inviting me to speak at events and sell my books. Five-star reviews are also good because they tell me that a certain reader enjoyed my work!

*What are the lows, if any? The lows include bouts of disappointment when I don’t think that my work generates as much interest as I think it should. Sometimes, I also get overwhelmed and burned out.

What is the name of your book(s)? My first book is called Opening the Doors. Beyond that, people will have to search by my name, because there are too many to list here.

Was it/were they an easy write for you? Poetry is easy for me to write. I’ve written so many poems over the years that it almost comes as naturally as breathing.

What's the hardest part about writing a book? Research is one of the hardest parts about writing a book. And though it’s not one of my favorite things, research is often essential for many kinds of writing.

What's the easiest part about writing a book? The easiest part about writing a book is coming up with an idea or a concept. Sometimes, they come more frequently than I can keep track of them! Beyond that, I don’t really think there is much else I could describe as easy.

Where can interested readers purchase their copy of your book(s)? My work can be purchased from the following sites: Lulu, Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Kobo, iTunes, Smashwords, Pen It! Publications, and Books-a-Million, as well as many others.

Do you have any future projects in the works? I have many future projects in the works, and at least one of them should be released very shortly.

*Is there a tentative release date? I’m not sure of any actual release dates, but I anticipate my fifth children’s book, Me & Mommy, to come out sometime in October.
